Engineer

General Overview: Assist Project Managers and Estimators in the coordination of all activities within the project including cost, schedule, document control while ensuring that quality standards are met. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in obtaining pricing for the development of cost estimates. Assist in the development and maintenance of construction project schedules. Assist in the bidding process Ensuring proper implementation of job site safety procedures, notifications, signage, supplies, and equipment. Verify submittal conformity to specifications. Communicating effectively with the Owner/Client in coordinating team meetings, completing contract documents, and reviewing consultant and contractor pay applications Maintain document control and distribution of the following, distributing and logging each. Request for Information (RFI) Submittals / Long Lead Equipment Shop Drawings Contract Documents Project Cost Reports Change Proposals Change Orders Architect’s Supplemental Instructions (ASI) A/E Reports Contract Close-out Documentation (i.e. close-out manual) Punch list Management Manage current and accurate logs for the following complying with milestone dates of project Request for Information (RFI) Log Submittal Log Shop Drawings Change Order Log Change Orders Contract Close-out Log Coordinate contractor changes and design professional additional service requests for review with Project Manager Support Project Manager in the preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports. Other duties may be assigned.
Education and Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of experiences as a Project Engineer or similar position doing work in construction or building infrastructure projects. BA/BS in appropriate field or relevant construction experience.
Skills & Abilities: Exceptional organizational skills Excellent written and oral skills Knowledge of construction principles, techniques and procedures preferred Knowledge of computer software including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite in addition working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Blue Beam a plus Ability to present information in oral, written, and graphic form.
